Epic nerd alert!!!! (Taken with instagram)
The moment has arrived. For all 2 of you who occasionally pay attention to this blog (and only pay attention when you’ve already read everything else that is interesting), the Christmas project that I have been collaborating on for the last few months is now online for streaming and download. As I said, some of the arrangements on this project have been waiting patiently for a chance to be shared with the world, and now I can share them with you.
Go hear to stream and/or download the audio http://goo.gl/LCwDk.
I hope you like it! And I may provide some explanation soon if you won’t be able to see the audio in context with it’s video.
I know that I haven’t updated my blog in a while. And of course, I choose to do it with an obligatory thanksgiving entry. Cheesy, I know, but for those of you who know me and my love for everything cheesy and punny, this should come as no suprise.
But, if I may be serious for a moment, I do want to say that I have so much to be thankful for this year. I have an amazing family, amazing friends, and an amazing God.
That being said, I am also extremely thankful for the opportunity to make music with amazing people/musicians. Over the last few months, I have had the privilege to arrange, write and record some great songs for Christmas. A couple of these arrangements have been simmering and waiting for the right moment to be used and I am extremely thankful that I will be able to share them through a Christmas project for my church. I know that I can speak for the others involved, that we are excited to share this with our church and anyone else who wants to hear.
More to come soon…and Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. follow this guy too…he’s one of the friends/musicians that I mentioned: traecastles.tumblr.com
Wow. Art House has done, inspired and been involved with REALLY cool stuff. Here are some fun facts…
“Artistic credibility and commercial sensibilities can coexist when done right.” Great quote.
this is a very interesting article on “songwriting” in the modern music business and the millions of dollars that are spent to churn out a “hit”. absolute craziness. but, $15,000 in 12 minutes?!? sign me up!!!!
sometimes i feel like this. usually, it’s after too much coffee. but isn’t that impossible? too much coffee i mean. it’s totally possible for my head to blast off like a rocket.
